Sensor data is empty

Compare the installed app's configuration with the baseline list in smartphone sensors. Check the foreground service, permissions, and sensor availability, then inspect Room batch timestamps, sample counts, and payloads. No call batch can be normal when no completed call event exists.

Health records cannot be read

First check the source app for actual records. Samsung Health's current automatic types are exercise, sleep, and heart rate. Health Connect is disabled by default, so granting permission alone does not start collection. Check device recording, provider sharing, and DTRAC implementation separately.

A survey will not open or submit

Check the survey ID, screen connection, available occurrence/window, required questions, and branching. For wake-based timing, check whether the anchor was resolved. Opening an old notification after expiry does not reopen submission access.

For voice surveys, also check the file, microphone permission, and upload state. An upload failure under a server-only audio policy can block submission.

Local records are absent from the server

1. Check whether the storage mode is local_only.
2. Confirm enrollment with the correct studyId and participantId.
3. Check connectivity and the selected backend configuration.
4. Inspect the record's syncState and sync task result.
5. Verify that you queried the correct study/participant path or Supabase data source.

Do not arbitrarily change participant IDs or erase the local database to force a retry. Preserve record ownership and failure information while investigating.

Samsung Health fails in an external app

Verify the host package name, signature, and Samsung Health access conditions. Successful library compilation does not establish external-app verification. Separation and packaging work in the current SDK plan also remains relevant.

Reporting a problem

Record app version, device/OS, collection type, event time/timezone, permissions, local-record presence, and the failing stage. Avoid unnecessary sharing of real recordings, precise locations, or participant identifiers; use fictional examples where possible.
