Collection path
DTRAC reads stored records through Samsung Health Data SDK on the phone. Records from a watch, ring, fitness band, or manual input must first reach Samsung Health. This path does not directly drive wearable sensors.
Implementation versus default activation
| Item | Type | Current state |
|---|---|---|
| Exercise | exercise | Enabled for ordinary automatic pulls |
| Sleep | sleep | Enabled for ordinary automatic pulls |
| Heart rate | heart_rate | Enabled for ordinary automatic pulls |
| Steps | steps | Read/ingestion branch exists; excluded from automatic types |
| Blood pressure | blood_pressure | Read/ingestion branch exists; excluded from automatic types |
| Blood glucose | blood_glucose | Read/ingestion branch exists; excluded from automatic types |
| Body temperature | body_temperature | Read/ingestion branch exists; excluded from automatic types |
| Oxygen saturation | oxygen_saturation | Read/ingestion branch exists; excluded from automatic types |
The registry lists eight types, while SamsungHealthPlugin.types advertises three. Ordinary initialization intersects registry types with plugin-supported types. Adding a registry item alone does not establish automatic collection.
Storage and read windows
SamsungHealthIngestionService persists health metrics and sessions through the existing storage layer. Units include bpm for heart rate, mmHg for blood pressure, C for temperature, and % for oxygen saturation. The glucose branch converts its input before writing mg/dL.
Exercise, heart rate, and related paths use internal lookback policies. Sleep uses a window from 09:00 the previous day to 09:00 today. Do not assume pull() period arguments directly control every provider read.
Integration requirements
Check the installed Samsung Health app, actual records, and read access. For a partner app, separately verify Samsung's package/signature-based app verification. DTRAC's existing conditions do not automatically transfer to another app.
Distinguish related integrations
Samsung Health Sensor SDK is a separate watch-sensor measurement path, not a confirmed current DTRAC integration. Health Connect reads records shared by other apps. Do not combine all three platforms' capabilities into a claim about current DTRAC collection.
