The builder is the desktop workspace for configuring research apps. Its renderer starts in main.tsx: the default window renders StudioShell, while the #settings window renders SettingsWindow. Use this entry point when identifying the current UI structure.
Workspaces
The main tabs defined in ActualVersionPreview.tsx include research settings, collection, and design. StudioShell connects project state, research-setting review, collection configuration, app previews, and conversation areas.
| Area | What to examine |
|---|---|
| Research settings | Draft study settings, such as purpose and participation conditions, and their review state |
| Collection | Collection configuration, execution previews, and related editing state |
| Design | Work on the research app's screens and presentation |
A screen preview and actual collection on a participant device are different checks. See Android permissions for permissions, background execution, and health-data access conditions.
Understanding save and apply
The renderer requests project reads and changes through the preload window.api bridge. StudioShell includes paths for draft edits, saving, and errors. A visible draft should not be treated as equivalent to a saved or applied result.
Before the main window closes, main.tsx calls flushAllDrafts and reports success or failure to the main process. This behavior alone does not establish completion of external execution or deployment.
Extending these guides
Installation, project creation, collection rules, previewing, and build guides can be added as separate documents after the relevant user flows are verified. This page is an introduction to the structure; it is not yet a complete step-by-step user manual.
See Agents & execution roles for agent classification and prompt organization. Do not confuse older guided-stage screens or compatibility paths with the current default Studio interface.
Component reference
Use the Component catalog (Korean) as a reference when composing research app screens. This is an external reference site; for Android use, check the current JSON nodes, renderer, and binding implementations alongside it.
The reference site currently requires ChatGPT sign-in.
